Each layer of the crepe is made with Twining earl grey tea, which gives a strong taste of earl grey for the earl grey lovers. The cream is made with fresh chest nut by whipping into cream. Instead of using artificial flavoring for the chest nut, I chose to use fresh ones as it is healthier and it delivers a better and more original taste.

We got this cake for a family birthday and it was really lovely and a hit with everyone, including my 4-year old and 1-year old who generally are not fond of many cakes. The earl grey flavour comes through so nicely and blends perfectly with the chestnut cream layers. What a creation and combination! The cake is also beautiful to look at – made with much care and precision. We can’t wait to try the other mille crepe flavours.
